Cousins and friends {and goodbyes}

We planned for five days in Ohio. In the end we spent seven weeks there while our RV was in the shop! Our holding tanks had broken in Denver where the repair shops were booked out for months. We decided to hold off until we made it to Ohio to be with family not knowing how long the repairs would take.  Before we knew it, seven weeks had passed. Although it was inconvenient for us and those we stayed with, it was certainly a best case scenario for a breakdown. It gave us precious time to reconnect with friends and family and for Asher and Journey to bond with their cousins. Here are some random shots of them having fun together.

Watching their new favorite show, Paw Patrol.

We surprised Grammy for her birthday!
We watched Benji play baseball.

Watched Avery and Benji's practices and swim meet. They are very fast swimmers!

Watched Lucy dive to retrieve items from the pool.

Asher and Journey had TWO sleepovers at Meemaw's house and had a blast with her!

Daddy spent lots of time working on "Glen's Barn" with Uncle Jason. The kids had a ball playing sports and riding their bikes inside. When we arrived Asher had never spent more than a few
minutes on his bike. When we left, both Asher and Journey were confident bike riders and
now enjoy longer rides. They do use training wheels for now.

Trips to Ohio before kids were short. Trips after were longer but spent with family while trying to shelter our preemies from sickness. There was only one friend from back home that I really kept in touch with. Now with so much unexpected time, I used it to reconnect with old friends.

While visiting Julia and Brian, we tie dyed shirts with their kids.
Asher really likes his shirt that he "painted with 2 boys" and wears it often.

I had playdates with my friends Amber and Steph and their kids. It was so incredible to see our kids playing together. We have been friends since 7th and 3rd grade!

An actual night out with the girls was put together spur of the moment by my friends Monica, Summer and Amy, whom I hadn't seen since high school...19 years ago! Yikes, don't do the math. Let's just say the term "middle aged" came up and no one got punched.

And finally, we spent three weekends with our friends Chrissy and Shaun in Jeffersonville. I have loved Chrissy dearly for many years so it's very special to me to see our husbands and children develop great friendships as well during our time together.
