Yoho National Park

Another day we drove from our campsite at Lake Louise into Yoho National Park in British Columbia, Canada. After stopping for info and to look at exhibits at the visitor center, we set out to hike Takakkaw Falls trail.

The trail begins along the river, where the kids of course stopped for a bit to throw rocks.

Daddy and Journey on the bridge.

What a fabulous spot to sit for awhile and work on their Xplorer books!
The days when road schooling looks like this, make my heart sing!

Red chairs like these have been placed in special places within Canada's national parks as a way for people to seek out a new place to sit and enjoy nature. They have a campaign where guests are encouraged to take a photo from here and post it to social networking sites.

Next we drove over to Emerald Lake to check out the view.

In seven days the kids earned Xplorer necklaces from
Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, Yoho and the Icefields Parkway!
