Blue Angels and Sand Dunes

The view while driving along Okaloosa Island! Of course I asked Daddy to
pull over so Asher and I could briefly explore the dunes while Journey napped.

The ocean is just over these dunes. If you look super closely you can see the water peeking thru towards the left side.

While in Pensacola, home of the Blue Angels, we just had to stop at the Naval Aviation Museum
and we were shocked at how impressive it is. I actually like it more than Dayton's National
Museum of the United States Air Force, and that says a lot because that place is amazing!

The kids sat in a Blue Angels cockpit.

I have never seen planes with foldable wings. Here there were quite a few of these planes which allow them fit
in the limited space on an air craft carrier. I was shocked to read that foldable wings were patented in 1913 and
since the 30s, nearly all planes built for duty on an aircraft carrier have been built with foldable wings.

Look at those wings!

A ball turret that was mounted in the nose of a plane in WWII. A man actually rode in that ready to fire!

We walked thru Marine One! This is the helicopter that transported Nixon and Ford.

A look inside Marine One

Later during our visit to the beach, we were entertained by the planes flying overhead doing interesting maneuvers.
