Discovering Ithaca, New York

Grandpa and Grandma (my parents) joined us in Ithaca for a few days of hiking, cards and campfires. Asher couldn't wait for them to arrive and play ball with him. He can already hit a pretty good line drive. Earlier in the day Asher was pitching to Journey. So cute!

They have never played in leaves before. Asher loved it, Journey, not as much.

We spent a few hours at Ithaca's Sciencenter.

Building a dam.

Constructing a track for a disc to travel. They love this kind of activity.

Playing with magnets and particles in water.

He was extremely happy to see that they had a whole area for space/star exhibits.

Unfortunately we ran out of time for them to play on the outdoor structure. How cool is this?

After hiking at Watkins Glen we stopped at a local festival for the ball drop. A plane flies very low to the ground dropping ping pong balls. The kids scramble to pick them up and then redeem them for a prize. They really enjoyed it, even though it was loud.
