Driving to Alaska {Meziadin Lake}

DAY 4

Visitor centers though out British Columbia sometimes have free dump stations. We stopped to use one and I ran in for info. The woman there suggested Meziadin and Boya Provincial Parks as her favorites, so I added that to our itinerary. After spending a few hours helping out at the farm, we headed to Meziadin.

Saw a bear crossing the road ahead of us.

Hello Meziadin!

This place is just gorgeous! The lake, the mountains, the island, the snow....ahhhhh!

The kids loved that there was still snow on the ground.

The park wasn't slated to open for a few more weeks, but due to the mild winter (and someone ramming the gate a few days earlier), he decided to open early. We were actually his very first campers for the year!

A little jam session after dinner.

I enjoyed watching Journey in the kitchen from my bedroom window.

The next morning we left the RV here and took a side trip to Stewart, BC and Hyder, Alaska.
