Driving to Alaska {Meziadin to Kinaskin then Boya PP}

Day 5

When we returned from our side trip to Stewart and Hyder, we grabbed the RV and headed to Kinaskin Provincial Park for the night.

There are fabulous picnic areas like this just alongside the highway rest areas. Such a nice spot to enjoy a quick bite to eat.

We finally made it to the park to find they were still closed for the winter, argh! We ended up sleeping just outside the park, but we walked down to check out the lake before turning in for the night. We heard a wolf on our walk.

Planning for tomorrow's drive. The book helps us find interesting
stops along the way and decide where we should stop for the night.

Day 6

We left early in the morning with Boya Provincial Park as our intended destination. Fingers were crossed that it would be open.

The highway gets rough in some sections. Thankfully this was a small one.

The kids were delighted to begin seeing frozen lakes outside our windows.

This one was so pretty and alongside a large rest area, so we had to stop to take it all in.

Finally we arrived at Boya Provincial Park, so fabulous it deserves it's own post!
