Exploring Tennessee with the Fugates

We spent a few days parked next to our friends, the Fugates, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. They're a fulltime family we met at a FtF rally a couple years ago. They visited us in Alaska and now we've visited them a few times in Tennessee where they are working on purchasing property.
We all love hiking and checking out national park sites, so we headed into Chattanooga for the Chattanooga National Military Park that's located on top of Lookout Mountain.

After taking in the view, they played tag. Why not?

The entrance to the military park.

 What a great view!
Looking out across the Tennessee River onto Moccasin Bend.

In the museum we read about the hardtack crackers the soldiers ate as breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nine very hard crackers made of flour and water were issued per day. Hard to believe this sustained them.

We hiked for awhile before heading home.

Back at the campground, the kids enjoyed swimming before dinner.

Our tent looks so tiny next to their Scorpion.
The kids always have such a great time playing together.

They became very excited when we pulled out laser tag.

It's even more fun in the dark!

They have a few lizards collected during their travels. One is a horned lizard and it's super cool!

The kids take him to the sand volleyball court for his daily exercise.
