Eagle River Nature Center

We spent a day hiking at the Eagle River Nature Center. The visitor center was closed, but we enjoyed hiking the trails.

The scenery from the viewing deck is fantastic.

Found some fun teepees.

We decided to hike the Albert Loop trail since a portion of it will be closed in July when the salmon are running (and bears are plentiful).

Love the still, reflective water.

This river is where the salmon will be running, and the bears will be fishing. To keep people from walking up on a bear, they close this section during that time.

These fluffy ferns were so pretty along the trail. They may be horsetail, but it's been awhile, so I forget.

We returned another day for a BBQ with our friends and were able to check out the nature center.
