Just one more day of Oregon's Magnificent Coastline

On this trip we came to find out that you really can't make a mistake in booking a campsite at one of Oregon's coastal State Parks. They are all fabulous. The only thing disappointing was the fact that we weren't staying longer. I could easily spend all summer slowly moving down the coast and enjoying each of the little towns along the way.

We only stayed one night at Harris Beach State Park in Oregon, but it we really enjoyed it. A short walk along a path from our campsite brings us to this view. The path continues down to the beach. We learned all of the beaches in Oregon are open to the public and operated by the state park system. You won't find large hotels blocking the views or disrupting the natural beauty. There are very few areas that have any houses along the beach, and even those are open to the public.

The kids found these giant sea "ropes" and used them as a jump rope, ha!
