Leaving Las Vegas

We lived in Vegas for nearly a decade. We met here, married here and our kids were born here. Vegas holds a special place in my heart for many reasons. We have fallen in love with all this great city has to offer, its social gatherings, weather, mountains and proximity to so many amazing places to explore. Oh and the lack of bugs! ;) We are sad to say goodbye to our dear friends, our church, our co-workers and the kids weekly ride with Horses for Heroes.

We spent our final two weeks in Vegas living at the Red Rock Canyon Campground. The first couple days back was dedicated to finish clearing and cleaning our house. That was a HUGE job, and I really wish we would have done things differently, but at this point we're just glad that part is over!

Between wrapping things up at work and organizing the rv, we tried to say goodbye to friends, but there were many we missed. I did feel it was important for Asher and Journey to spend as much time with their friends as possible, and they did. They had playdates at the park, pizza dates, went out for ice cream, to the nature sanctuary, had their first water balloon fight and very first sleepover! They have a busy social calendar. We will miss our friends dearly, and look forward to seeing them again next year.

We spent so much time with Jett and Ava that our last day there,
Asher kept asking me, "where's Mom?" Yep, he now calls Jen mom too. Ha!

Until next time.....
