Bayon

Bayon is another Buddhist temple built by King Jayavarman VII. The temple is most famous for more than 200 large stone faces carved on numerous towers. Above is the entry gate.

After exploring the area of the outer gate, we hiked a bit and came upon some interesting trees and a huge earthworm that was over a foot long!
When we arrived at the main Baton temple, we were met with monkeys helping people with their recycling.

We enjoyed watching these long-tailed macaques with their baby.

Stories are carved into the walls here as well, with intricate details!

Now it was time to take our tuk-tuk and go. The lovely pool was waiting back at the resort.
