Glacier National Park

Crossing back into the US was uneventful. Actually we crossed the border six times since April and all were pretty painless. As soon as we arrived at Glacier, we setup the RV and headed to the lake to enjoy the last couple hours of sun before dinner. The kids had fun climbing on a downed tree and floating a boat that they had made in the lake.

The next morning we took the Road to the Sun into the heart of the park to hike the Hidden Lake trail.

Daddy and I hiked here before the kids were born. We met up with Courtney and DB and climbed Mt Reynolds, the mountain on the left (below). That was an epic day and I loved telling the kids about it.

Once we reached the overlook, Daddy and the kids sat and enjoyed a snack while I continued on.

The trail goes all the way down to the lake that you see here, but we didn't
feel the kids would be too happy about the hike back up. Maybe next time.

I was fortunate to spot this guy. Look closely.

A mountain goat! They're so cool! I was sad that the kids missed it,
and felt relieved when I returned and they pointed another one out to me.

The next day was super windy and rainy, so we spent the day at home.
Not a bad view if you have to be stuck inside!

So we didn't have much time here, but we did enjoy the time that we did have.
Until next time Glacier...
